Veteran's Memorial Park of Mount Airy has been incorporated since 1946. Since that time we have been the venue for many of the community's festivals, reunions, tourism events and sporting activities. Our facilities include one shelter with a full kitchen and two shelters with open restrooms for use by the public. RV parking and camping areas are designated at our park. The recreational area is also the home of many sporting and team events.

Camping

Camping at the Fairgrounds includes:

        10 Acres of shady woods for camping and picnicking 
        Well-Lighted park 
        Modern Restrooms 
        2 Large Concession Stands 
        Picnic Sheds 
        34 Full Trailer Hook-Ups ($30 per night) 
        Non-Hook-Up* Camping on grounds ($10 per night) 
        Camper spots are rented by the day 
        All camps sites allow jamming 
        No drugs and alcohol allowed - laws will be enforced 
        No dogs allowed unless on a leash.

*Full hook-up charged if you use electricity or water from hook-up sites

The 2012 Surry County Fair will be held in the last week of August. The fun and festivities will take place August 23-September 1. Our new website is coming soon!

American Legion
